Description:
This 2-hour class will teach participants the reasons why we may not be able to change an individual’s behavior as well as how to support significant behaviors we cannot change. Class will include a discussion of behaviors that may be an integral part or component of a behavior as well as an introductory discussion on trauma based behaviors. We will discuss the impact on the individual and those around them that these behaviors can elicit as well as common assumptions about the individual’s ability to control these behaviors. The class will review 1 or 2 examples as provided as well as discuss situations participants may currently be supporting. Class discussion and questions will be encouraged.
