9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (BOTH days).
OIS (Oregon Intervention System) is both a certification program and philosophy of positive behavior supports. OIS is designed to equip support-providers in the developmental disability community. It is a class about human behavior, with a focus on how to support people who put themselves or others at risk.
This Level G (General) OIS class is available to: child or adult foster care, child or adult 24 hr residential programs and family caregivers of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
To obtain certification: Participants must meet several standards that include proficiency at evasion, deflection, & escape skills. Certificates provided at the end of the 2nd day for participants who meet all workshop requirements.
