New to the field of developmental disabilities? Been around but curious?
This course is a "whirlwind tour" of the D.D. field. Tour includes:

terminology and "People First" language, the theory and practice
of the Individual Support Plan (ISP) and other core values of the DD system.
Trip includes some terrific video sightseeing as well as stories, lecture,
discussion and a great set of souvenir handouts! Excellent pick for families,
new and experienced residential or vocational staff, foster care providers,
and professionals from non-DD fields interested in a solid introduction
to this fascinating field and cast of characters. Recently reduced to
4 hours to make it even more accessible. Guides on this "tour bus" are a case manager, a foster care specialist and a personal agent in a support services brokerage.
