Administration
|
|
| Dan Peccia *Updated* | Executive Director |
| Dan has his degree in Social Work from Purdue University and has worked in the field for over 18 years. His experience includes setting up and running another support services brokerage, directing an Arc Chapter, working for provider agencies, several case management positions and providing in home respite care while in college. Philosophically, Dan firmly believes in letting the people lead and that listening to what customers and families want is the best way to provide services. | |
| Wendy Taliaferro | Assistant Director / Personal Agent |
| Wendy has been working with people with developmental disabilities for over 20 years. She has a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Organizational Communication. Most importantly she has a sincere belief in and passion for the value of all people, not just a few. | |
| Kitty Thomas | Office Manager / Bookkeeper |
| Kitty came to SDRI in 1999 with 16 years of office management and accounting that, on a good day, keeps the wind in SDRI's sails and the office sailing smoothly along. Kitty believes a disability isn't a barrier, just an obstacle, to pursuing your goals. Due to her severe hearing impairment, she's presented with many opportunities to apply that philosophy. She's active in various volunteer projects, public speaking and occasionally participates in competitive speaking. Kitty read a book about team building by Pat Riley where she read a quote that's become her philosophy, "the privilege of a lifetime is being who you are." | |

Andrew Tedlow *Updated* |
Personal Agent |
|
Andrew began working in the field of developmental disabilities about
10 years ago, pretty much by accident when a parent came up to him at
his child care job and asked him if he'd be interested in interviewing
for a one-on-one aid position serving a young man with a traumatic brain
injury. Several years of working as a special education assistant, primarily
with Transition-age students, followed. Andrew's last job before SDRI
was at The Arc of Multnomah County, where he was the Family Services Coordinator,
working with parents with cognitive deficits. He left that job in July
of '04 after four years to join SDRI. |
